CDI Architects Concept Design Innovation
CDI Architects is a small, boutique architecture practice in South Brisbane that is gaining recognition for designing new houses, multi-residential units, townhouses and apartments. Architect Charles Howroyd, an Honours Graduate from University of WA, started the business 12 years ago. Now with a staff of six, he is committed to using his experience to “add value” for his clients. Specialising in residential design work CDI has completed 139 remodelling projects, 120 single residential projects, 55 townhouse projects, and 68 multi residential developments. Current major projects under construction include redevelopment at Perry Park for YMCA and Cargo apartments for BHC.

Northlakes Industrial
Northlakes, 2009
This industrial project complies with North Lakes strict development scheme. It includes three tenancies with mezzanine levels. It was built with tilt up panels and glass continuum. It has parking for 44 cars and is a total 3,600 sq metres. It was recently awarded best industrial building under $3 million in the 2009 MBA awards. Builder – Built Wright Constructions

Chermside, 2008
This design won the MBA category for medium rise multi-residential housing for a total project valued over $3 million. The Playfield Street location is becoming an emerging multi-residential area as it is adjacent to Chermside Shopping Centre. The building exterior features layered materials and has one and a half parking levels. It boasts high ceilings and views to the city and parklands. The 25 two-bedroom units were pre-sold.
Yeronga remodel
Yeronga, 2007
This post-war house was extensively remodelled. The family wanted to be shielded from the western sun ‘ so the existing verandah was re-interpreted into an exciting feature. The changes made the house perfect for a growing family and presents a new face to the street
