Projects:
Redevelopment of a Waterfront tri-level Residence
147 Kyle Pde, Kyle Bay NSW, 2012
The project comprises proposed additions to an existing residence located on a steep, waterfront property within a dominantly residential neighbourhood. Beyond the High Water Line that marks out its boundary, a boat shed and an open water swimming pool exist under a Crown Land Title. It sounds like a common extension and additions to an existing dwelling. But to characterize it as a redevelopment in the meticulous sense of the word was the product of many composite factors that influenced the physical nature of the location and consequently the way the concept was approached.
Al-Azrak High Rise Mix-Use Development
Khartoum, Sudan, 2014
The project is a mixed use development situated on one of the most prominent sites fronting the Great Nile River, on the northern end of the Blue Nile Bridge, Khartoum, Sudan. It comprises the following key components: Tree towers (2x25floors residential buildings and 1x25floors hotel & furnished apartment building), Retail mall, conference centre, Underground parking, External and landscape Areas, Marina & Warf, Mechanical floors, roof garden, Gym, Spa and Swimming Pool.
Residential development/Tri-level Town Houses
9 Perry St, Campsie, 2002
The project consists of 4 tri-level townhouses, three bedrooms each. The development has initiated a challenge to work on a new approach of how to define new elements to enhance the character of the area. The way the final outlook of this project was shaped, in both design and construction, was the result of a careful exercise, which assured the retaining of 7 significant trees, and allowing a compromise to come into effect to compensate for the loss of ground building areas by creating a third storey. In my Design, I dedicated a special attention to the orientation and location of each habitable area to maximize the sunlight to internal living areas and open spaces and special consideration to the energy efficiency in the building design. The construction materials used, along with the design scheme, components and systems have perfectly worked to enhance the overall aesthetic blueprint of the final product.
