This house on 190sqm block a two bedroom colonial had been tenanted for many years and had had many minor alterations that had been far from sympathetic to the house. The house was raised and re-invented to provide a house that is open, light and naturally ventilatied. Staged for budget the upper level was completed in the first stage. The second stage is starting now as the owners children are heading towards their teens and a home office is required for the owners

M House, a double-fronted heritage property in inner-city Melbourne, is the original house on a block now subdivided into two properties with a house already built on the rear block. This project required reconfiguration of the existing house and provision of a new rear main bedroom wing and a new upper level space providing living spaces. Originally to provide for a professional couple (but planned to provide up to four bedrooms and two bathrooms the house easily accommodates their now two year old.
