On the edge of a region with widespread poverty and corruption, World Unveiled aspires to establish a place on non-federal land for the pursuit of truth, social justice and human rights. The purpose of World Unveiled is to disenthrall our disengagement with humanity and rise with the emerging cultures of public participation. A global institute such as this should be imagined as a place that unveils all forms of knowledge that perhaps was denied us in the past – A veil that allowed human right abuses and corporate malpractices to continue to harm our people, our environment, and mock our collective rights.

Edges of Castlemaine
Castlemaine, Victoria, 2010
From the outset, we were enamoured by the pluralist character of the beautiful rural town of Castlemaine in Victoria, Australia. The objective for us was to celebrate and articulate the different architectural styles and historical periods of Castlemaine to produce a design that was sensitive and respectful to the site’s civic surroundings, while creating a lively residential community of 20 new dwellings.
