New Paddington House
Paddington, 2004
Completed in 2004 as the home/office for John House, on a small inner-city site; it incorporates flexible indoor-outdoor spaces and passive solar control as a response to the Sydney climate. The house is ‘smart’ wired with solar water heating and solar-cell electrical power generation. The design utilises plantation timbers and recycled stonework that gives a warm feel to a very modern living environment.
