Pakington Townhouses

Geelong West, 2009

2 townhouses on a heritage site. The constraints of an original heritage order on an illegally demolished house meant tight planning restrictions to the sight with heritage references to the surrounding residences and to the original building. The townhouses have some material choices and shape of the original building whilst being modern inside.

Camberwell Townhouse

Camberwell, N/C

A townhouse tucked into the corner of a large site in the Camberwell area. The owner wanted to make use of the defunct garage in the back corner and build a new city apartment at the back of his residence. The regulatory restraints literally carved out a 3D triangular space in the air that set the limits of space we could use. Westerly aspect also means use of louvres to reduce sun exposure.
