Anna Heerey Architecture & Interior Design
This practice is dedicated to producing architecture which responds to its context – the inhabitants of the spaces, neighbourhood and the landscape within which it resides, with a particular passion in creating accessible architecture. Buildings and spaces which are accessible and adaptable can be used by people of all ability and at all stages of life. Using seemingly simple design devices – the deft arrangement of spaces flooded with natural light & the careful selection of materials which have integrity and longevity – my work strives to stimulate the senses and make the user of the space feel at home.

Projects:
Dunstan Parade House
Port Melbourne, 2013
Alterations and additions to a Fisherman’s Bend Estate house, which involved completely reworking the existing interior and adding living space at the rear to accommodate a family and be completely wheelchair accessible. The result is a contemporary, light filled home, made of materials which are hard wearing and which will age gracefully & even withstand a spot of indoor bowling practice down the passage.
