Chris Jenkins Design is a small design driven studio which has been established on the Mid North Coast of NSW for over 20 years. In that time the studio has worked on a wide range of projects including individual houses, multi residential buildings,commercial office and industrial buildings, medical centres and hotels. The studio has one numerous awards for its work including AIA Country Division and Hastings Architecture awards, AHA awards for hotel work, and a NSW Tourism Award for a resort. The studio provides full architecture services from conceptual design, through approvals, documentation, tendering and contract administration.

PORT MACQUARIE, 2013
The owners call their new house, “Petalouda’, which is Greek for butterfly, as the building form is essentially consists of two sweeping roofs which hover over a glass box. The architect’s brief required the house to maximize the magnificent ocean views and “create a home which felt like a resort”. By tucking the building against the southern and western boundaries of the site privacy and protection are optimized and internal spaces are able to open up to the outdoor areas, coastal views and northerly aspect. The client’s requirement for light filled spaces and clean minimal finishes are clearly evident.
