Focus Architecture
My objective is to allow clients to build their new home, renovation, or extension taking advantage of my knowledge and experience in the area of residential design & construction at reasonable cost. I believe that good design and the benefits of an Architectural design process should not be confined to the luxury market. My systems and processes are tailored to suit those clients that are keen to keep their costs to a minimum without sacrificing things that are important to them. I have been designing and documenting new houses, renovations and extensions for the south-east Queensland market since 2000 and successfully completed many design commissions.

Clayfield House
Brisbane, 2009
This was a traditional tin and timber queensland house that had fallen into disrepair. The client’s brief was to provide a modern treatment while retaining the features required by the Brisbane City Council Town Planning Codes. The original structure was retained at the front and a large extension was built at the rear overlooking parkland.
Clayfield House 2
Brisbane, 2009
This new house is located amongst traditional homes and despite its striking, contemporary appearance, sits comfortably alongside more traditional homes. It has been designed to comply with Brisbane City Council Character Guidelines and has achieved this by using modern shapes and forms an an innovative manner to evoke a traditional appearance.
