Angoves Family Winemakers
McLaren Vale, 2011
Angove’s McLaren Vale cellar door was designed to symbolise and celebrate five generations of winemaking. The stone barn is a reproduction of the 1893 winery building near St Agnes, the rendered utilitarian fa’ade, a subtle reminder of Angove’s production growth while the winged glass fa’ade provides a strong link to vineyard and inspiration for future generations crafting premium wines to the world. ‘When we sat down with Jamie and Wayne we had a handful of ideas and concepts and a patch of vineyard. Jamie and team immediately tapped into the direction and feel we wanted for the project. JBG were easy to work with, thorough and the resulting building is a timeless mixture of old and new. The first word from most visitors mouths when they walk through the door is ‘wow”. Richard Angove ‘ Brand Manager, Angove Family Winemakers, McLaren Vale
Hently Farm
Greenock Creek at Seppeltsfield, 2011
HENTLEY FARM restaurant and cellar door involved a sympathetic restoration and refurbishment of an abandoned late 1800′s barn and cottage. The result is a sophisticated blend of old and new which is carried through to the wine and food offered in this unique environment.
