Snowy Mtns. Grammar Library & Classrooms
Jindabyne, 2010
A restrictive building area with many influencing factors including a diversity of existing architectural idioms on site and detailed site infrastructure, demanded a sensitive approach for an informed contemporary outcome; The new library has become the central focus of the school ‘s large occupied site, whilst also contributing to the urban design fabric with its sympathetic contemporary form and use of featured local building materials.
Lakeview House
Jindabyne, 2009
With expansive lake and main range snowy mountains ski fields views, exposed westerly aspect and open winter winds site orientation this residence required special consideration of these environmental influences; Designed with the home business occupation in mind and family living co-functions the resultant design provided exclusive panoramic outlooks of the local environment together with fabulous planned privacy separations between workable functional planning to the clients satisfaction.
Kirwin Holiday Housing
Jindabyne, 2005
Difficult sites call for a straightforward first principled approach to provide answers that respond appropriately for the occupants use of the site; Sunny wind protected spaces during the winter months provide assurance of this; Sympathetic profile of structures contour the buildings into the terrain and minimise visual impact and form; A mix of 10 attached and detached dwellings offers visual variation of a common yet unique mountain architectural theme.
