Studio Schofield is a newly established architectural practice with an emphasis on providing innovative, intelligent design outcomes for buildings through collaboration with the people that inhabit them. Christopher Schofield is a Brisbane-based registered architect with over 10 years of experience working on a broad scope of projects, ranging from small interior renovations, new houses, educational facilities and heritage restoration projects.

An extension and renovation to a 1912 Queenslander Cottage, retained and restored, to suit a small family. A restrained material palatte with clear definition of spaces allows the original cottage to remain in all of its former glory, while the extension wing sits comfortably under the 100-year old Camphor Laurel tree at the front of the site. Care was taken to minimise disruption of the leafy site, with the new extension designed to step up along the natural ground line, providing additional vistas to the spectacular tree.
