Lexus Brisbane
Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, 2009
Lexus Brisbane – Fortitude Valley, Brisbane – open Dec 2009 The brief here was to take two run down existing buildings in a prime location in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley and combine them into one corner showroom suitable for the prestige Lexus brand without the time and cost expense associated with a knock down and new build program. The final product showcases a large circular showroom space maximising the footprint of the two buildings, with a central core of the reception and sales areas. Typical of working with existing buildings a lot of time was spent on site working with the builder on details form the removal of columns to form an open space, connecting the various levels into a workable space for vehicles and the structural linking of the buildings within the fixed price contract. The resulting building is a prestige showroom in a sort after location amongst other prestige car brands for a budget driven project that has met the expectations of both the client and Lexus
Dreamtime Spirit
Sydney International Airport, 2010
Dreamtime Spirit – Sydney International Airport – Open June 2010 Dreamtime Spirit is a new concept store for the Souvenir World Group as they look to further develop their position as a leader in the Australian Gift department in both Airport and off airport facilities. The brief was to develop a brand, which was done in con-junction with the Jumbana Group that took the product to a new level of presentation and merchandising away from the traditional souvenir market place. Indigenous artists were engaged to craft the authentic totems that are central to the store layout and circulation, with other artists were commissioned to paint the store logo. Materials and finishes were customised on site to ensure that the store had it’s own personality. The merchandising focuses on quality products combined with educational information and an ethos that less is more when making this considered purchase. The response since the opening has been very positive with more stores planned for opening this year

The ground floor consisted of the general living area, a study a bathroom and separate laundry. The first floor was planned with 2 bedrooms, and en-suite to the master bedroom and a separate main bathroom.
