Graduating from UTS Sydney with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture (Hons), Sam has 20 years experience in the architectural industry, working with firms such as HPA Architects, Squillace Architects and Sharon Fraser Architects. In 2004 Sam and his family relocated to the North Coast of New South Wales and has established his own architecture practice in the inspiring hinterland of Byron Bay. Sam is a registered architect and has worked on numerous public, urban and residential projects, including the award-winning Olympic Village in Homebush Bay and the Walsh Bay Precinct, Sydney. Sam is a member of the Australian Institute of Architects.

CLIENT BRIEF To modernise an 80s brick dwelling and establish a better connection between the house and the pool/outdoors. SOLUTION Create an open-plan kitchen and breakfast area that is connected to the pool via an entertainment deck. Create a dinning area that is also connected to the pool through a covered deck; and relocate the stairs to upstairs. Renovate the bathroom, ensuite and kitchen. Cement render the exterior.
