Studio Tekton
Studio Tekton was established in 1998 with the intent of providing a responsive design service with a collaborative focus acknowledging building as a multi disciplinary activity requiring committed participants from client through to the design team and contractor. While Studio Tekton has a Queensland focus, we have worked on projects in Melbourne, Perth, Port Macquarie and internationally in the Maldives and Silverstar (Canada). Projects are equally varied ranging from domestic renovations to master planning, inquiry by design research to facilitating a community garden including outdoor pizza oven.

Mackay Marina Master Plan
Mackay, Qld, 2010
This expansive award winning landmark project began with a long term Master Plan vision. In 10 years, 500 berths to the marina have been created as well as 7 apartment projects; Townhouse developments in 3 stages; a new village retail precinct and hotel, commercial/maritime related buildings and an exclusive residential enclave
Waterfront Place
Mackay, 2008
A mixed use building with 2 levels of corporate offices for an international mining company over a ground floor restaurant. The project maximise the water front location and allow for a public access way through the site connecting the Marina Esplanade to the public car park on the western side. Adjoining commercial buildings and public access had to be maintained around the building during construction. The project won the Regional 2008 Queensland Master Builders Association Retail Facilities – Value $3-12M award.
Hawthorne Residence
Hawthorne, QLD, 2005
This residence incorporates a number of narratives including responding to sub-tropical design principles, efficient space utilization and capitalizing on the surrounding views. The solution responds to the sub-tropical climate by minimising the building footprint and moving the building away from the neighbour
