Coledale House

South Coast, 2008

A minimum maintenance steel frame beach house of 175sqm clad in powder coated metal and stone. This building was commended in the AIA Country NSW awards. Multiple horizontal roof planes stepping down the site offer views of the sea from many points in the building while maintaining shading from the eastern glare. Most of the floor area available on this narrow site is concentrated in a living area which occupies the whole of the middle level at the same level as the garden entry and a full width covered deck over looking the rock shelf.

Wombarra House

South Coast, 2009

A metal clad house of 200sqm in a bushfire zone with fire resistant hardwood windows and screens and incorporating sub floor water storage tanks. An upswept roof and highlight windows catches the view of the top of the trees and escarpment 200m above and the last of the winter sun. The elevated entry deck looks over the sea views of the south coast while a protected kitchen deck catches the sun.

Port Beach House

Port Beach, 2005

A beach house for a surfer. Minimal maintenance, timber decks and a broad view of the surf break was the brief. A metal clad house with recycled timber decks along the line of the beach and over looking a park was the result.
