Projects:
Alterations and additions to residence
Camperdown, 2012
This project involved the transformation of an existing terrace house, located within a conservation area within the Marrickville local government area. The site was small – only 128 square metres. Within this, we managed to accommodate a total of three bedrooms, two bathrooms, study and a loft storage space. Our clients were very happy with the finished project. (Photographs by Rowan Turner)
Nepean River residence
Penrith, 2008
This was another small project involving alterations and additions to an existing residence, in this case in the Penrith local government area. While the original house was in a beautiful location, on the banks of the Nepean River, it made no connection with the River. The Clients’ goals for this proejct were to provide a new main bedroom and bathroom, to provide a space to display their artworks, and to connect the residence to the river.
Studio
Faulconbridge, 2012
My studio is in Faulconbridge, in the lower Blue Mountains. Construction of this project was completed in 2012. The studio is in a bushfire-prone setting (Flame Zone). Some innovative techniques were developed to minimise bushfire risk on this project. (Photographs by John Van der Have)
