My Melbourne based practice specialising in bespoke residential architecture and interiors in the inner city, coastal and rural Victoria. It is a client orientated practice where each design evolves from working closely with the client to understand their individual brief and aspiration; with the end result being a tailored personalised design. With sixteen years of post-graduate experience, my designs are inspired by my extensive international experience, with nine years based in London. As project architect, I have completed projects in Barcelona, Dallas, Dubai, Jeddah, Kuala Lumpur, London, Melbourne, Moscow, Riyadh and Sydney.

Residential Alteration
Albert Park, 2011
This project was for a renovation and extension to an existing brick Victorian terrace in Albert Park for a professional couple, an interior designer and project manager. The existing house was beginning to look tired and the 1980’s two-storey rear extension was in need of modernisation. The existing layout of the property was retained, with a small extension to accommodate a walk-in-robe, whilst the main alterations were to the form of the 80′s extension. The transformation included an increased sense of space, additional natural light, and a stronger connection to the outdoors. The inspiration for the extension was from the Eames House ‘ a landmark mid-20th century modernist architecture ‘ located in Los Angeles by Charles and Ray Eames, which is a favourite of both the client’s and mine. Due to the site’s close location to Port Phillip Bay the clients requested the use of durable external materials, thus zinc and timber (left natural to grey over time) were specified. JCA were responsible for the design and documentation of the architectural component, whilst one of the clients was responsible for the interiors.
Residential Extension
Brunswick, –
The existing house is a freestanding weatherboard clad single-storey Victorian residence in the inner-city suburb of Brunswick. It was decided to demolish the existing rear addition and replace this with a new living, dining, kitchen and bathroom, whilst keeping the integrity of the original house. The proposed extension has been designed to contrast with the existing. The form was inspired by the client’s tasteful collection of artwork and mid-century furniture, and her favourite colour yellow.
