Projects:
Metcash, Goodman Industrial Estate
Bungarribee NSW, 2011
The new 83,000sqm office and warehousing facility is located within the Bungarribee Industrial Estate, west of Sydney. The challenge was to develop an aesthetic proposal that reflected Metcash and announced the arrival to site without being dominated by the new 76,000sqm of logistics warehousing. The project was developed to provide a well considered architectural design and incorporated sustainable design principles which set a new standard for Industrial Development. The Council Design Review Panel advised the design is considered a benchmark for future developments within the estate.
Gray Puksand
156 Clarence Street, Sydney, 2011
The Gray Puksand Sydney Offices sits within a heritage building located in the heart of the CBD. 156 Clarence Street is a fine example of a Victorian Free Classical terraced style warehouse constructed in the late 1890s. Previously known as the Cue Clothing Co building, it is noted as an early example of Sydney warehouse buildings utilising a steel beam structure. Gray Puksand’s aim was to create an interior that was sympathetic to the heritage skeleton of the space. The design comprised the insertion of three contemporary black boxes that sit within the existing interior. The boxes act as a division between spaces, housing meeting and breakout areas, as well as providing acoustic separation.
Network Ten
Pyrmont NSW, 2012
We were engaged by Network Ten to assist with the renewal of their current workspace and studio facilities in Pyrmont NSW. With changing technology and enlarged news format, we re-designed the newsrooms to provide additional workpoints in a contemporary environment without any disruptions to new services.
