The Hills Clinic Private Hospital
Kellyville, NSW, 2010
The Hills Private Hospital and Medical Centre is a 64-bed psychiatric hospital located at Kellyville. The building form consists of a medical centre and a hospital accommodation wing connected centrally by a ‘spine’ building which houses the administration function. The spine building also divides up the garden into 2 distinctive parts. One of them is a quiet and tranquil therapeutic garden accessible from series of group therapy rooms. The other part is a community vegetable and flower garden adjoining an outdoor dining area. The landscaping design utilises a series of active and passive outdoor space to serve as conduits for various functions in the building and to extend the indoor functions to the outside.
