Wahroonga Luxury Residence

The brief for this project was to create a sympathetic alteration and additions design to an existing two storey residence within a draft conservation area in a prestigious street scape in Wahroonga. Engaged as the Principal Consultant, DDS assisted the client establish a design brief including ground and first floor additions. The design carefully considered the existing street scape and character of the dwelling, as well as acoustic and visual privacy to neighbouring properties. Rendered facades along with large glazed facades provide a seamless minimalist look to create a natural extension to the existing modernist style dwelling. New external verandahs and sliding glazed facades extend the internal entertaining areas adjacent to the refurbished swimming pool area. DDS is currently assisting our clients with the Development Application submission with Ku ring Gai Council. As the principal consultant, we have also assisted the client with the engagement and coordination of specialist consultants to produce the required documentation for all planning authority submissions.
Chatswood Luxury Residence

DDS were commissioned by the Client to re-design the internal layout for an approved Development Application consisting of a two storey, four bedroom house in the heart of Chatswood. DDS worked closely with the client to select the external colour scheme to compliment the surrounding street scape consisting of federation and modern dwellings. The re-design of the internal spaces included all the joinery detailing for new bathrooms, kitchen and ensuite rooms. High end fixtures, fittings and finishes were selected to establish this house as a key showroom for our Client’s residential marketing requirements.DDS also provide 3D images and materials boards throughout the design process to inform the client of the materials selected and give an understanding of the finishes and quality of the house’s finishes in it’s contextual surroundings.
Cochlear Audio Clinic

Audio Clinic and Associated Office Ground Floor Fit-OutThe brief for the project was to design an Audio Clinic for Cochlear, one of the world’s leading hearing implant companies to show case their products and provide Clinic Rooms and supporting facilities to their clients in Victoria. The new Clinic is situated on the Ground Floor of Laser House, Victoria Parade in the heart of the established health and specialist consultants district of East Melbourne. DDS were commissioned as the lead consultant, to coordinate the design and specialist consultants to obtain the relevant planning authority approvals and construction documentation for the project. DDS worked closely with the client in both NSW and VIC to establish the brief. The first steps of the creative process consisted of the production of Room Data Sheets and feasibility designs for review and comment by the various stakeholders. Client feedback was then implemented into the design to provide a Clinic to suit the Users of the space from the Specialist Consultants to the administration support staff and potential Cochlear clients.A large reception and waiting room area welcomes clients into the Audio Clinic, providing areas of relaxation and interaction to showcase the current audio equipment available to their customers.
