New Berkeley Square

80 West Esplanade, Manly, 2011

A proposed new development comprising 5 super-luxurious units, situated at the harbour front of Manly. The main objectives of the design were to maximise the ocean view from all the living areas and to create very functional use of the open space within this relatively confined site. The luxurious nature of the units were reflected in the planning and the design as well as in the choice of building materials.

Villa Serene

112-124 Cowles Road, Mosman, 2004

A new medium density development comprising 30 high quality apartments in 3 separate blocks. The main theme of the scheme is conservation. The design seeks to integrate the new development into the existing fabric in a way which responds to the Federation idiom identified with Mosman. It respects the scale and townscape character of the area and provides a link between its smaller scale residential nature and the large scale development characteristic of the nearby hub at Spit Junction. As part of the scheme, an existing historical house was retained, renovated and incorporated as part of the new development design. Another interesting feature of the scheme is that the buildings are configurated as such that there is very minimum common walls between each apartment. The common lobby on each floor serves a maximum of 2 apartments to create the highest degree of privacy and security.

Balmoral Rise

11-17 Clifford Street, Mosman, 2000

A boutique development comprising 18 apartments, situated in the heart of Mosman. The design brief was to create a high quality living environment catering mostly for the local residents downsizing from their large Mosman homes. The objectives were achieved as reflected by the functional planning and generous provision of both the internal living areas and the outdoor open space. The apartments on the upper storeys were configured to maximise their view of Balmoral Beach.
