Bawtree Design a dynamic and design focused practice dedicated to the creation of functional and beautiful buildings and interiors. Our buildings sensitively respond to the site and are the result of careful collaboration between clients, builders, consultants and other contractors. Having been in practice over 7 years following 10 years in various international offices, Bawtree Design has worked in most areas of Sydney and has also done architectural & interior work in Niseko, Japan. We are involved in all stages of design from conceptual sketches to administering contracts on site.

The Vale
Niseko, Japan, 2009
The Vale is a 4 storey ski in ski out apartment building at the bottom of the ski run in Niseko, Japan. Bawtree Design worked in collaboration with Nikken Sekkei to create a building which fuses with its alpine environment as well as Japanese and western aesthetics.
