I am an award winning registered architect with experience in all sectors of the architectural profession. I have urban and rural project experience in Australia, and international project experience in Beijing, China. Through my residential work in particular, my practice has developed a strong reputation for clear client communication and outstanding design quality. From my early years as a Jackaroo working Australia’s remote sheep stations, I have developed a deep appreciation and knowledge of our natural world and climatic extremes. This intuitive environmental appreciation is critical to successful architectural design, and strong motivation for my exciting design concepts.

Toorak Gardens SA, 2010

AWARDS JURY >> “Walking up to the front gate cannot convey the scale of this rear addition and renovation project but it does provide a summary of the execution. The garden and existing bungalow facade are immaculate. It is clear that everything has been touched in this renovation, and it is even clearer that everything was considered and detailed. The architect must have developed a uniquely comprehensive brief and understanding of the client’s way of life and then managed to deliver a plan which achieves all their functional necessities while also detailing an impeccably refined contemporary statement…

Stirling Residence

Stirling, SA, 2011

This 1975 architecturally designed home in the Adelaide Hills was sympathetically renovated in 2011. It was critical to respect the home’s original form and detailing when introducing a modern kitchen and multiple contemporary wet areas throughout. Timber, stone and marble have combined with the existing timber veneers to create a truly stunning living environment in this sprawling Stirling family home. The split level home is flooded with natural light and enjoys expansive views into the gardens from many of the rooms. The client’s mid century art works, sculpture, furniture, lighting and general style beautifully compliment the original design period for this home. The well resolved planning and environmental performance of the house ensure easy living, add to this the recent renovation, and the ongoing appeal of this great period of Australian architecture is clearly demonstrated. This outstanding residential renovation has been highly acclaimed with multiple published editorials, and is providing an exciting and comfortable living environment for its occupants.
