Denham House

Marlborough, 2002

This interesting project was located on a difficult site that presented quite a few challenges. The average slope was 37 degrees, posing some engineering challenges, handled superbly by the in-house engineering team at Smart Associates. The house was therefore limited in plan depthwise but was designed to have longer thinner areas – stacked on five levels – maximising the magnificent views to the Marlborough Sounds. SSDU Office Fitout

Coopers Plains, Brisbane, 2008

Office fitout for Queensland Health SSDU (Scientific Skills Development Unit). This project required the re-instatement of two walls, the provision of a small kitchenette, re-configuration of existing workstations and design of joinery items. A meeting room with audio-visual equipment was included in the project as well as a computer training suite with an interactive ‘Smartboard’.

Wellington Point State High School, 2010

Internal renovations of an existing building to provide an enhanced stage area and proscenium arch and the addition of a dance studio / teaching space. Provision of new facilities to make building accessible to the general public for performances and upgrade of front entry.
