Old Mercury Press Hall
Hobart, 2014
‘The architects’ intimate involvement in this project adds to the building’s new life and depth of its experience.’ – Jury citation, 2015 Tasmanian Architecture Awards. Redevelopment of the old Mercury Press Hall (originally City Motors car showroom and workshop) in Argyle Street Hobart. The Press Hall is home to Franklin Restaurant, Tasmanian Juice Press, Pigeon Whole Bakers and Core Collective Architects’ studio. Winner – 2015 TAS Australian Institute of Architects Award for Commercial Architecture
