‘the black bach

Freycinet Peninsular, 2010

This bach or holiday retreat , provides a simple, economic and sustainable response to the vacation needs of a young science professional couple and their children . The project constructed on a tight budget achieves a high level of fit to its surrounds within the magnificent setting of the Freycinet National Park , blending into the shadowy background of its bush setting . While the rest of the world visits the nearby sites of the Hazards Sea mountains and Wineglass Bay , this design provides a quite retreat within a short stroll of the azure blue green waters of Honeymoon Bay .
