The first two schools of the $200m Queensland Government’s South East Queensland Public Private Partnership (PPP) opened their doors to students at the start of 2010. Gray Puksand (in association with Woodhead International) undertook design and documentation of the schools, located in Bayview & Peregian Springs for the Aspire Schools Consortium. Efficient energy and water management strategies have been included in each campus to maximise compliance with Environmentally Sustainable Design principles. The projects completed to date have each been certified as 4 Star Green Star under the Green Building Council rating system to ‘As Built’ requirements. Site works for the next three schools, Collingwood Park, Bellbird Park and Coomera East have commenced and these projects are scheduled for completion in 2011.

Sunshine Coast Mazda
Maroochy Boulevard, Maroochydore, QLD, 2012
Gray Puksand was engaged to provide architectural and interior services for a new showcase dealership at Maroochy Boulevard, Maroochydore. Construction was completed in February 2012. The design response fully utilises the site potential and ‘gateway’ address, creating highly visible double / triple volume feature showroom display spaces. Dealership client interface options are provided with sales and service functions seamlessly connected to ‘cafe hub’ facilities. 15 vehicle service workbays, staff amenities and office spaces are efficiently integrated into the building form and functionality. The project was delivered well below projected budget forecasts, due to careful design and project management strategies, whilst still achieving high quality finishes and presentation both internally and externally.
