courtyard beach house

mount martha, 2007

Designed to be enveloped by climbing plants, the restrained timber fa’ade will evolve as it weathers to a silvery grey. The house surrounds two courtyards, giving a strong sense of arrival via a ‘gangplank’ where one can ceremoniously retreat from working life. This project won a commendation at the South East Development Awards and was a finalist at the Timber Design Awards.

park house

melbourne, 2013

Park house was designed for clients with a love of horticulture. Each level has it’s own landscape element. The sculptural building form with organic soft interiors creates a connection to the landscape. The natural palette is restrained in respect of it’s materiality.
