Specialising in alterations and additions to existing dwellings, particular attention is given to the qualities of the site and the requirements of the client. Lilyfield House

With entertaining and relaxed open plan living in mind the pavilion addition to this dwelling opens up the interiors to natural light and designates the kitchen as the centre of the home. Significant privacy issues with the original dwelling caused by overlooking from several neighbours were overcome by designing a timber screening structure to wrap the rear covered pergola and strategically placed high windows to focus interior views to the sky and trees.

Creating new connections for this home to the natural light from the north, a new living room, dining + kitchen extension links the existing heritage dwelling on the site to the unusual geometry of this leafy corner block. The views out to an established panoramic streetscape of trees and elegant neighbouring dwellings are framed by the windows of the new interiors and the folding and uplifted plywood clad ceilings.
