Rosalie Stollery Architects Pty Ltd
I have been practicing as an architect for more than 30 years. I believe in creating a sense of peace and calm through the use of natural materials such as wood, glass, stone, water and the creation of spaces with a link to the earth. Features of my work include pavilion style zoned spaces arranged around a courtyard, excellent cross ventilation, passive solar design, water re-use and integrated landscaping. Special attention is given to siting the buildings so that they sit comfortably in and benefit from the landform.

Projects:
Fernleigh Home
Fernleigh, 2010
Pavilion style house on the ridgeline at Fernleigh overlooking a magnificent valley below. Rooms are arranged around a landscaped courtyard which captures winter sun, provides summer shade and encourages cross ventilation.
Avalon House
Avalon, 2009
This house was built on the edge of Pittwater. Its theme was to reflect the immediate location of sandstone and water. The main materials are stone, water, glass and timber each level becoming lighter as it rises from the stone podium. Views through the house to the landscaped courtyard at the rear are as beautiful as Pittwater itself.
