Mosman I

Mosman NSW, 2007

This is a major renovation of a federation cottage spanning 9 years which has grown with our family in 3 stages. The last stage completed was our office in 2007. We have created a family home over 3 levels which includes our studio. All levels of the house connect to the garden and external areas providing a sense of calm and balance. The house is grounded by the use of natural materials, simplfied planning and the access to natural light throughout. it is a wonderful place to live.

Rose Bay House

Rose Bay, 2008

This is a new family home located in a conservation precinct. The brief for this house required that a 25m pool was located on a site just over 500sqm. The constraints on this particular site provided an opportunity to work with the clients and builder to build a house that feels like it was always a part of the street, which feels contemporary , light and opens to the garden and pool.

Clovelly II

Clovelly, NSW, 2010

This is new contemporary beach house soon to be completed (2 weeks) for clients returning from overseas. The site has a difference in levels of over 3.5m from the corner to the rear boundary. The solution was to design 2 buildings with a split level connection to minimise the bulk of the building when viewed from the street and allowing the family areas to connect to the rear garden and pool. Materials selected were based on the idea of a relaxed home at the beach, that require minimal maintenance and add to simplifying life.
