Reid Campbell has worked closely with Accor Asia Pacific and Sydney Olympic Park Authority to successfully complete negotiations and secure land acquisition for the construction of a new, 5 star rated, 212 room Sofitel Hotel on the Herb Elliott Avenue and Olympic Boulevard intersection at Sydney Olympic Park. The new 18 storey high, 16 level building will provide a lounge bar, A-la-carte restaurant, business centre, multi-use conference and function centre, executive lounge facilities and gymnasium. Reid Campbell has been instrumental throughout, during negotiations with SOPA for the site, in tender negotiations with St Hilliers Contracting to achieve a fixed price contract sum. The project was the subject of an Environmental Assessment Application to the Minister of Planning, the first such application within Sydney Olympic Park under new planning legislation.
