Middle Park House

Middle Park, Melbourne, 2008

This project involved major extensions and alterations to a property in Middle Park. Our brief was to create a relaxed family home with generous spaces for entertaining. A striking new three level residence has been created behind an existing facade. The limited palette of dark and light natural materials combines with the beautiful natural light to create a dramatic family home.

Kew House

Kew, Melbourne, 2007

Our commission was to design substantial alterations and extensions to a freestanding Victorian Home in Kew, in association with Interior Design practice Kerry Phelan Design Office. An unfortunate 1980’s extension was demolished to make way for a modern structure at the rear of the Victorian home. Planning was rationalized to create a relaxed flow between spaces. The new structure is full of light, opening directly to the pool and garden.

Camberwell House

Camberwell, Melbourne, 2012

This project is an extension to a freestanding Federation era home on a large block in Camberwell. In response to the existing masonry Edwardian architecture, we have designed a simple brickwork double story extension sitting on a bluestone plinth. Window frames, balustrades and sunshades are all black steel. Our aim was to create a modern extension which will sit comfortably with the existing distinctive Federation architecture.
