House

384 Birdwood Terrace, Toowong Q 4066, 2010

A new house on a very steep site in the foothills of Mt. Coottha, Toowong. This project involved the design, documentation and administration of the construction of the house. This is a very successful house satisfying my clients requirements on a very difficult site.

Coorparoo House

19 Stodart St., Coorparoo Q 4151, 2015

A large house on a corner block of land in an inner city suburb with established neighbours. The house is a modern, two storey, flexible building with two living areas and the ability to provide living spaces for different family groups in private areas. A lift is included in the house to allow for continuing occupation, even by disabled or older people. The house includes high levels of insulation and glare control by selection of insulated glass, aluminium frame and wall, floor and ceiling construction. The house layout enables pedestrian access from footpath level to both living levels. A flat grassed level is accessible from the lower living room with an in ground pool adjacent. The upper Living Room has access to a large outdoor, covered, veranda with horizontal access to the footpath through an entrance Portico. Modern, smooth materials have been incorporated into the external finishes. Low maintenance is expected.

Whale Beach House

50 Morella Rd., Whale Beach NSW , 2004

A house near one of Sydneys’ great beaches on a very steep site. Views over the beach, to the east. Each room has access to the views and the cooling breezes, during summer. High quality finishes and fittings were incorporated into this large house to ensure durability in this sea side environment. The original plan was developed to enable further enlargement and enhancement of the house. The house has been extensively enlarged in two stages with an additional Living and Bed Room area created on a rear platform looking over the original house, at the rear. The original owners continue to enjoy this wonderful house.
