Projects:
House Addition
Blackburn, 2003
A young family acquired a mundane cream brick, 3 bed suburban home and required it to be extended and transformed to suit their needs. A separate pavilion was added to the rear of the original to accommodate a new kitchen and living spaces with access to the exterior. A simple construction method contained costs but afforded interest and contrast.
BUSHY LANE
Silvan, Victoria, 2006
A retired lady with musical interests required a studio attached to her rural home in which to enjoy playing her grand piano. With a beautiful outlook across fields and bush the room opens onto a timber deck linking externally with the rest of the existing home. A new bathroom suite links the addition with the home internally and provides space for a new entrance foyer.
Duplex Renovation
Sydney, 2010
Client with attached/duplex 3 bedroom, two storey dwelling with no sun penetration. The long narrow building on a small parcel of land was extended to enable access to north sun with a small deck to better relate to the landscaped (in progress) rear garden. Most ground floor interior walls were removed and steel beams inserted to support the floor above. This opened the whole area to daylight and open plan living.
