Richard Kerr Architecture Pty Ltd is a small progressive multi-award winning practice focusing on single (new and alterations+additions) and multi-residential architecture. Established in 1991, over 90 projects have been completed in metropolitan Melbourne, rural and coastal Victoria and New South Wales. Richard Kerr is the principal architect throughout each project. RKA has won many awards including the ARBV Architectural Services Award; an excellence award for client service.

The runner-up in the City of Port Phillip Best New Single Dwelling Award 2007. The contemporary solution treated the front study pod as partially transparent with a shimmering stainless steel mesh screen. The internal angled void, with self-cleaning glass windows, allows natural light to flood both levels. The glazed living space is perched on the edge of a black-tiled pool. This house received the ‘City of Stonnington Best New Residential Dwelling Award 2002’. The site is compact at less than 200 square metres. The semi-retired couple required a contemporary, energy-efficient, low maintenance home. The exciting solution focused on a central bluestone clad ‘spine’ and a rotated tapered mini-orb clad upper level.
