Projects:
Gisborne Street Residence
Elsternwick, 2009
Starting off as a kitchen design this project quickly developed into a full renovation and extension of a substantial Victorian house in Elsternwick. The brief called for a transformation into a family home for three boys with a series of living spaces catering for adults and children. The project weaves colour and texture through the entire home helping to produce a series of sequential connected spaces.
Mt Pleasant House
Sandy Bay Hobart, 2011
This project has creatively and sensitively renovated a National Trust registered Georgian residence (circa 1835). A contemporary conservatory has been added and a new garage constructed. These repairs, renovations and new works have reinvigorated a significant site and allowed for the expression of contemporary living to occur. New patterns of habitation have been woven into the fabric of the house and are most visibly expressed in a modern conservatory constructed of glass, steel and stone, set decisively in the garden.
Bonnet Hill House
Bonnet Hill, 2007
This 245sqm house is located on the crest of Bonnet Hill approximately 10km south of Hobart and provides an incredible expanse of views to both the mouth of the Derwent River to the East and the Wellington Mountain Ranges to the West. The main challenge of this project was responding to the harsh micro climate of such an exposed site and organising a series of living spaces both internal and external that provide shelter at different times of the day and year.
