Virginia Wong See Architect
We are a small practice with a focus on sustainability through appropriate choice of construction materials for longevity and aesthetic quality. Over the past eighteen years, the practice has evolved through the design and construction of house renovations, small scale commercial projects such as cafes and art galleries, as well as new houses. The practice also specialises in sustainable kitchen design, consulting to other firms. We prefer to work closely with our clients in developing ideas as a team in order to obtain the best outcome. Whilst continuing to work on projects in Sydney, the practice has now established a studio in Armidale in the New England Tablelands.

Projects:
Wong See Terrace
Glebe, Sydney, 1998
Major altertions and additions to our own 3.6 metre narrow 1880’s terrace house. Designed and constructed with extensive use of recycled materials and a “loose fit” kitchen.
Our Studio
Glebe, Sydney, 2008
This building houses our Sydney studio. It was built as a design and construct project using low maintenance, durable materials for longevity, in contrast to the bespoke window detailing and interior fittings.
Helen Stephens Gallery + Residence
Charing Cross, Sydney, 2008
Extensive restoration of an original 1860’s sandstone shop to create a gallery space. Construction of a new attached dwelling to the rear with north facing garden.
